Sigiriya is a village in the dry zone at the centre of Sri Lanka's Cultural Triangle. Its main sight, Sigiriya Rock Fortress, is a UNESCO World Heritage site with frescoes, a mirror wall and palace ruins on the summit. It's a good base for exploring Dambulla, Polonnaruwa and the national parks nearby.
